Beginning the Interior

Since the framing was finished, we've had a number of things develop. The roof had previously been finished, HVAC was roughed in last Friday, plumbing was roughed in on Monday of this week, and we met with the electrician n Wednesday, which was run after we met with them. We met early Wednesday morning with the electricians (Amish too, ironically enough), and the main electrician walked through the house with us, showed us where the default outlets were, and where the lights were being run. We then had the opportunity to place where our cable outlets were to be placed, as well as anything else we wanted. We had tons of outlets, and plenty of lights. But we added a number of things, including 2 switches for the fans, lights above the showers, a closet strip-light for Jaxon's closet, extra outside outlets (for Mandie's Christmas lights galore), a 3rd outlet in the garage, an 8 foot fluorescent bulb setup in the garage, extra TV outlets, an extra outlet in the basement, a spotlight outback which is switch operated, and 4 recessed LED lights in the kitchen.

As of today, the concrete is being poured next week for the garage, basement, and front porch. The concrete crew had some time earlier in the week, so they came and prepped the spots by leveling the land out.

Thermostat placement near the basement steps.

The upstairs linen closet was framed in after it was accidentally left out of the original blueprints.

Dryer vent

We've decided to all take permanent markers, and place our names in the house. Just a little way to get others (family and friends) involved and to leave their mark.

The finished shingles and roofing.

When the plumbers came, they installed the permanent sump pump and check valve.

We like our shower/tub units, plenty of shelving spots.

Outlets and light fixtures.

Overhead power was installed as well.

Water spigot on the back of the house and the sump pump drain.

Breaker box in the basement.

The 4 LED lights added in the kitchen.
