And So It Begins... Closing & Lot Prep

We've made it!! We've finally jumped through the cluster of mortgage application paperwork, got the loan approved, and met on 3/22 for our closing. It's been a long and tedious process to get everything in place that we needed. Nonetheless, we made it through no problem. Not only did we close on 3/22, but the work was already starting. On 3/23, our excavator came and installed our new culvert, as well as our temporary power pole. We needed to get this culvert in place as soon as possible, because the WV 911 center would not give us an address until the driveway was roughed in. Now, 911 is coming out today to look over things and to give us our permanent address. Once that's established, it'll make things easier, as we can finally get the taps and accounts set up for our utilities. All of the utilities are already run at the lot, we'll just have to tap into the lines. Anyways, the past 2 days have been a big step forward, and now the floodgates are open and we can begin to tackle this process. We're hoping to be moved in before November, but a lot of the timing depends on when the foundation is set.

Here are some pictures I took at the lot yesterday of the first stages of work that has begun:

The one tree that had to be sacrificed (we're going to put it to good use though)
